Orlando Counselor : Orlando Therapy

Nancy Johnson, M.A. LMHC, MH#8592

Let me introduce myself. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education with an emphasis in mental health and drug abuse from Northern Michigan University in 1979. I completed my Master of Arts degree in counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2003 and was licensed in 2005. I am currently finishing up a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University ñ Sarasota. The 23 years in between my undergraduate degree and my graduate degree, I worked with college students at Kearney State College in Nebraska, the University of Nebraska, the University of Nairobi, in Kenya, and Kansas State University. While in Orlando, I worked with campus interns as well as with mothers. I have a lot of experience speaking to large groups of people, at conferences and retreats, as well as leading small groups, such as discipleship groups, support groups and group therapy. One of my favorite things to do is to help students with a personal development plan that involves life skills, ministry skills, among other related topics.

I am interested in conducting a variety of seminars for adolescents and parents, as well as offer a variety of group opportunities that will meet the greatest needs of children, adolescents, young adults, parents, single mothers, and others.

It is my desire to be a resource to the community, not only to children and adolescents exclusively, but also to young adults, couples, older adults, and anyone who struggles with a variety of issues.

On a more personal note, I want to introduce my family to you. I have three sons, Ryan, who is 16, Nathan, who is 15, and Jason, who is 11. My boys are just normal kids with the same challenges that all children face. They are a blessing to me and I enjoy walking with them on their journeys to adulthood.
