Debbie Haughton
I am currently finishing up my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. I will graduate December 2007. My undergraduate degree is in Communications with a Minor in music at Florida State University. I am currently working at The Grove, a residential Adolescent treatment program for addictions. I also am working part-time at Palm Beach Atlantic University as a career coach. My past work experiences have been teaching music to children as young as 3 through adulthood, directing adult musicians in a church, counseling in a church setting, advertising, marketing and television production.
I have been married for 23 years and have two children Daniel (15) and Andrea (18). My interests in counseling started back when I was very young growing up in a divorced family. I experienced a lot of dysfunction in my family and tried to make sense of it all. I have an interest in helping people that are struggling with relationships, raising difficult children, gender identity, divorce, depression, anxiety, addictions, troubled marriages, and abuse.
I enjoy vacationing with my family, playing tennis, singing, going to lunch with friends, and watching my son’s baseball games.
